Hi everyone,

I know we have already introduced our brochure to all of you

but that was just the base design.

Now, I am going to elaborate more about the brochure....
Before that,let me introduce to you our group LOGO!

This is our group logo.

It is a picture of EARTH,

surrounded by people who are working together to try to save the earth.It truly reflects on our slogan-YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

5 energy saving tips to conserve ENERGY!

1)use a fan instead of an air-conditioner!
2)Turn all electrical appliances off at the power socket when not in use!

*when using standby power,some appliances still continue to draw power!*

3)Choose energy efficient light bulbs instead of standard bulbs!

4)The lower the temperature seting , the more energy is used! Set the degree of the ir-con at 25degree celsius or higher!

5)pick appliances with more ticks on the energy label!

So,that was our brochure.We tried our best to use recycled coloured paper and instead of printing the brochure ,we use pictures and things that we have.I hope you will like it:))

WE feel that this video is significant and can be related to the impact mother EARTH is facing now.Indeed,it is saddening to see all of this happened but if we look back in time, we will realise that we HUMANS are the ones causing this great destruction.By day, the world's energy consumption is getting lesser and lesser.We have caused the c02 emisions. We have caused global warming. We have caused climate change!We have caused climate change!WE ARE GUILTY!But yet, we are happily living our life with a grin on our face!We must try to reduce our c02 emissions but as a world. Mother Earth CAN'T SAVE HERSELF!we must be hereos ourself and try to make a difference. this relates back to our slogan"YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!"We must save our future generation!We cannot let this go on!So,all the of YOU out there ,lets play our part for the ENVIRONMENT!!

Our VERDICT...(our opinion)

We, the environmentalists, think that this bag is the future of replacing plastic and paper bags which poses a great harm to our environment!

This useful bag is surely a small step in reducing usage of plastic bags.
An original recycled material used for greater uses... AND processing is easy as ABC! It as a creative idea to use OLD and used sacks and the idea of converting it to a colourful, new bag using the fabric inside it was just BRILLIANT!Furthermore, IT WILL DEFINITELY APPEAL TO PEOPLE.The process of making the re SACKEL bag also is A CLEAN AND environmentally-friendly way!I am still dumbfounded by the fact that it is three times as friendly!as it helps the environment in three ways!

GTOWER green features

Hi everybody!

As we all know, the G Tower is a SGD 200+ million 30-storey office-retail-hotel development being built on 199, Jalan Tun Razak, Kuala Lumpur. It is stated to be officially opened only in 2009! ISN'T that exciting?!

Well.. Obviously the green feature that impresses us the most after a long period of discussion.....
Special glass panels that lower the amount of heat transmitted from the external environment to the interior of the building!!!!!!!!

Why... The reason is what is written just there! Because it lowers the amount of heat transmitted from the external environment to the interior of the building! Well.. Basically... From what we understand, it means that the amount of heat that comes from the ouside that the glass panels, (for example, sunlight) to inside of the building as to not use so much of the air-conditioner to cool the room. And we think that can result to more conservation of energy towards the future... AN interesting prospect for saving electricity of using the air-conditioner more...

It's a VERY cool way to save GAIA, Mother Earth some energy burnt from fossil fuels, don't you think?

It was actually quite meaningless for us,

YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Yes, that is our group slogan. We thought of that ourselves ;D

We also decided on that catchy phrase as it has a lot of meaning.
First of all, saving the environment starts with YOU by doing YOUR part. You may think that it makes no difference even if you do your part as you are just one out of the billion people on Earth. That may be true, but imagine if all of the people on Earth thinks just like you. Then all hope is lost for Mother Earth D;
But that can be changed if YOU do your part in caring about the environment. If you do it, others will do it too. In that way, there IS hope (:

But even though not everyone cares about saving Mother Earth, there is a handfull that does. And we are proud to be one of them [:

We do our best and spare a thought for our dear Gaia by doing whatever we can to reduce our usage of water and electricity.

So if WE can do it, so can YOU!

Today,I am going to write about one of the LEARNING ISSUES in the FILA chart.

After much discussion, our group decided to write about our 2nd learning issue which is "How do we change the mindset of people about the importance of saving water and energy?"

HOW & WHY?
We chose this learning issue as Earth is burdened with a problem like this is because of our mindset.We think that saving the environment is not a big deal but is it quite the contrary.If we do not save the environment, what will happen to Earth?Where will we live?
As you know, Earth is the only planet that supports life, provides a adequate amount of sunlight ,and also water.If we are able to change the mindsets of people and tell them about the harm we are causing ,they will surely contribute to help save the planet. They are contributing to saving the environment and also making a difference to planet Earth.I cannot deny that we too were unaware about this major issue and did not make such a big deal out of it.But after working out this project, we realised.So, to us changing the mindsets of people is very important as it would determine whether they are willing to save water and energy.But, knowledge also plays a part and hence, we should be able to also provide sufficient information for them.

The answer to our learning issue is to let family members to work on a save energy bill project with a "START WITH ME" strategy.If one of the familyy members start practising good energy-saving tips at home,others would also sart to inculcate the good habits.Then ,for family whose energy bill can be decreased by 5% each month, they will be given money.Brochures with energy -saving tips would also be given to them to guide them along their way of wanting to save thier water and energy bill.We chose rewarding them with money as a suggestion as with inflation on the rise, we feel that people are in need of money.But of course, they must not be too obsessed with the reward of money but also willing to care for the environment.:))
